INRC Water Quality Research Seminar - Findings from Watershed around the Country
February 24, 2021
Presenter: Aaron Mittelstet,
assistant professor of Biological Systems Engineering at the University of Nebraska-Lincoln.

Mittelstet's areas of research focus on the
(1) evaluation of land use (Redcedar encroachment), climate change and management practices on water quantity and quality using both surface and ground water models;
(2) surface/groundwater interaction and the variability of streambed hydraulic conductivity both spatially and temporally; and
(3) effectiveness of streambank stabilization and restoration projects on streambank retreat, and monitoring erosion/deposition real time to improve understanding of the erosional and depositional processes.
